Et pourtant, durant le d\u00e9veloppement de notre cerveau, les extr\u00e9mit\u00e9s des axones de nos neurones en d\u00e9veloppement ressemblent \u00e0 de v\u00e9ritables <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/lecerveau.mcgill.ca\/flash\/d\/d_09\/d_09_m\/d_09_m_dev\/d_09_m_dev.html\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">\u00ab t\u00eates chercheuses \u00bb <\/span><\/a><\/span>qui r\u00e9ussissent \u00e0 trouver leur cible sp\u00e9cifique \u00e0 travers la soupe mol\u00e9culaire complexe que constitue le milieu extracellulaire.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>On sait depuis longtemps que <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/lecerveau.mcgill.ca\/flash\/d\/d_09\/d_09_m\/d_09_m_dev\/d_09_m_dev.html#2\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">ces cibles produisent des mol\u00e9cules <\/span><\/a><\/span>qui sont d\u00e9tect\u00e9es par des r\u00e9cepteurs situ\u00e9s sur <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/lecerveau.mcgill.ca\/flash\/a\/a_09\/a_09_m\/a_09_m_dev\/a_09_m_dev.html#1\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">les c\u00f4nes de croissance <\/span><\/a><\/span>des axones et qui les guident vers leur cible. Mais ce qu\u2019une \u00e9quipe du Salk Institute, en Californie, vient de d\u00e9couvrir, c\u2019est comment une poign\u00e9e de g\u00e8nes seulement rend possible des processus de guidages susceptibles de mettre en place le<span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/lecerveau.mcgill.ca\/flash\/d\/d_01\/d_01_cr\/d_01_cr_fon\/d_01_cr_fon.html\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"> c\u00e2blage complexe du cerveau<\/span><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Les quelques prot\u00e9ines fabriqu\u00e9es \u00e0 partir de ces g\u00e8nes s\u2019agencent entre elles pour former des \u00ab\u00a0co-r\u00e9cepteurs\u00a0\u00bb qui sont capables d\u2019int\u00e9grer des<span style=\"color: #008080;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/lecerveau.mcgill.ca\/flash\/i\/i_09\/i_09_m\/i_09_m_dev\/i_09_m_dev.html#2\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"> signaux mol\u00e9culaires multiples<\/span><\/a><\/span> et les traduire en instructions de navigation coh\u00e9rentes pour le c\u00f4ne de croissance.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9tude portait sur les neurones moteurs de souris dont l\u2019axone doit quitter la moelle \u00e9pini\u00e8re et se rendre jusqu\u2019au bon muscle dans les pattes de l\u2019animal.
